Acura History :
Acura is a luxury vehicle manufacturer based in Tokyo and is utilized by the Japanese car manufacturer Honda Motor Company in the US, Canada and Hong Kong since March 1986 to market luxury automobiles and near luxury vehicles. The brand was introduced into Mexico in 2004 and to the Chinese auto market in 2006. Honda Motor Company has also planned to extend Acura to the Japanese domestic market in the year 2008. Through the Acura brand name, Honda is credited with being the first to emerge into the market for luxury Japanese manufactured cars outside Japan. Before Acura, automobiles exported from Japan were primarily economical in design and largely targeted towards lower cost consumers.
